NEWSLINEŽ TEXAS

Developed by the National Federation of the Blind, NFB NEWSLINEŽ is a free service used by blind subscribers to read newspapers through any touch-tone telephone. The NFB NEWSLINEŽ service is currently available to any legally blind Texan who wishes to subscribe.

If you were a subscriber prior to March 1, 2002 you will find the latest version of the service just as easy to use as the old local service centers were. Pick up any touch-tone phone, dial the NFB NEWSLINEŽ number, listen to the menu, and choose options by tapping numbers on the phone keypad.

Subscribers can currently access more than fifty newspapers from across the country. Consider how interesting it will be to read the newspaper for a city in which a big story is breaking. In addition, NFB NEWSLINE's non-newspaper features, which are currently available in each area, will now be available with all of the newspapers.

The toll free number for NEWSLINE is 888-882-1629. If you haven't subscribed, use our online application to do so. If you prefer, we can take your application information over the phone. Call

512-323-5444 or 866-636-3289. When possible we will take your application when you call. If no one is available, leave your name, telephone number (including area code), and a message telling us that you would like to subscribe to the NFB NEWSLINEŽ service. Someone will return your call as soon as possible to assist with the application process.
